
Andrew M. Silverstein opened his law office in 1998 with the sole focus of providing legal representation to clients with Family Law matters in and around Minneapolis, MN. Prior to limiting his practice exclusively to divorce and family law matters, Mr. Silverstein gained experience and knowledge representing clients in a wide variety of matters involving personal litigation, real-estate, financial and business disputes. Mr. Silverstein believes that this past experience yields thoughtful analysis and a proactive style of advocacy to resolve legal complexities that arise in the context of family law disputes. Mr. Silverstein's clients have benefited from his analytical abilities, persistence, integrity, judgment and style of advocacy.
Graduated from the William Mitchell College of Law in June of 1991, where his writing and analytical skills earned him appointment as a staff member and associate editor of the William Mitchell Law Review.
Admitted to practice in Minnesota State Courts in 1991 and is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota.
Mr. Silverstein has continuously expanded his family law and legal expertise through Continuing Legal Education, litigation workshops, writing skills development and seminars.
Mr. Silverstein is a Family Law Mediator and Evaluative Neutral.
COMMUNITY
In addition to maintaining a successful private practice, Andrew Silverstein continues to build on public service. Mr. Silverstein has volunteered in the Hennepin County legal access point, is a founding members of the Domestic Abuse Task Force of the Minneapolis Jewish Family and Children's Service, is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association as well as the Hennepin County Bar Association's Family Law Section. Mr. Silverstein serves as president of Community Mediation Services. Mr. Silverstein also serves on the board of Jewish Family and Children's Service. Mr. Silverstein is a member of the Fourth Judicial District Ethics Committee.
